Rogers retired from The United States Army in 2013, having served in every Leadership role as a Non-Commissioned Officer. As a member of the Human Resource team at St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home (St. PJ’s) he volunteered for many events and earned money for countless charities as being an advocate for the United Way, the San Antonio Food Bank, My Princess and Me, Pumpkin Run, Vacation Bible School, Provided training Opportunities for all Foster to adopt families, and various international and local community programs.
As a Transition Coordinator at Fort Sam Houston, Texas Mr. Rogers has the rare opportunity to give back to Wounded, Ill and Injured Soldiers. Mr. Rogers’s main focus is to act as a liaison between Civilian organizations and Soldiers transitioning out of the military. Through this program, Mr. Rogers has been able to help countless Soldiers gain employment and meaningful internships opportunities which lead to employment through training. He also takes the opportunity to explain to civilian organizations the benefits Veterans bring to their organization such as Being on Time, Work Ethic, Effort, Team Players, Energy, Passion, Being Coachable, Doing Extra as we as potential Tax Credits for companies that hire Veterans.
Mr. Rogers’s military and civilian education include the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Officer’s Course, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer’s Course, and the First Sergeants Course. Mr. Rogers currently holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Columbia Southern University.
Mr. Rogers’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, South West Asia Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Drivers Badge, The Deflury Medal, and he is a member of the Distinguished Audie Murphy Club.
